Pioneers - Leading the Way

Amount Received £12,500

To provide role model mentors to young people to prevent them from becoming socially excluded, engaged in criminal or antisocial behaviour. To ensure that all young people are engaged in some form of education, training or employment.

Young Vibes

Amount Received £ 5,000

This project will teach young people (who are at risk at entering the criminal justice system) how to make money, legally.

Young people will work alongside real entrepreneurs, graphic designers and a real clothing company to show young people how to research, design, make, market and sell items of clothing.

Cult Racing Cycles

Amount Received £10,000

This project intends to support young people aged between 11 – 19 years who come from disadvantaged areas and are n the verge of committing crime, or committing anti-social behaviour. It will allow young people to increase their participation in sporting activities and improve their general levels of health and fitness through cycling.

EYES Project (Rough Diamondz)

Amount Received £25,000

Rough Diamondz has been created from the ideas and interests of 61 young people who are currently transcending from a lifestyle of antisocial behaviour and criminality. Rough Diamondz will be a musical production portraying how these young people, despite the hardship and challenges they face, overcome and reach their goals.

Birmingham Youth Sports Academy

Amount Received £5,000

Birmingham Youth Sports Academy is primarily based at Small Heath Leisure Centre and open to the children of all wards of Birmingham particularly those areas suffering from poverty, unemployment and social exclusion. Sports activities take place every Saturday, starting with football and then leading to swimming.
